Areas of Study
BIBLE
The Bible is the single most important book ever written. It is an eyewitness account of historical events of such magnitude that they have literally shaped the world in which we live. Without this book the Western world and a good deal of the Eastern world would be completely different today than if the events of this book had never occurred.
ART & MUSIC
Music and art classes teach kids about creativity. When children are being creative they are using a different part of their brain that they don't use in regular classes, like math and science. It is important to develop this creative part of the brain, so kids have a better chance at being successful in their chosen career path.
MATH & SCIENCE
It is important for young learners to establish a solid foundation in math and science. In addition to the inherent pleasure students can find exploring these subjects and the self-confidence built by mastery, this essential academic preparation opens doors to financial literacy, STEM career paths and healthy decision-making.
LANGUAGE ARTS
Language arts is the vehicle of communication by which we live, work, share, and build ideas and understandings of the present, reflect on the past, and imagine the future. Through language arts, we learn to appreciate, integrate, and apply what is learned for real purposes in our homes, schools, communities, and workplaces.
HISTORY
Studying history is the key to understanding how different forces shape our lives today - the past is the key to the present. History provides context for everything that we see around us today, and the key to understanding the world we find ourselves in now is to look at how it came to be.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE option
Bilingual students tend to score higher on standardized tests than monolingual students, especially in the areas of vocabulary, reading and math. Bilingual students have also been shown to be more logical and rational, have better decision-making skills and be more perceptive and aware of their surroundings.
